Thank You & Last Chance to Preorder Unbound

Hi Reader!

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has already preordered Unbound. Your support means the world to me(I know I say this a lot!), and I'm counting down the days until you can read Jesse and Adrian's story.

If you haven't preordered yet, there's still time to grab the best book I believe I have ever written before it releases on November 14th.

The ARC reviews have started coming in, and I'm overwhelmed by the response. Readers are connecting with this story in ways that remind me exactly why I needed to write it.

Here's what some early readers are saying:

"This book was absolutely phenomenal. I cried reading this book in ways that I have never cried reading a romance book before... This book is heavy, but in the best way possible. It's not your run of the mill queer awakening. These are two incredibly complex characters that survive a horrible and very real situation."

"The emotions I felt reading this were almost too much. The strength, courage and heart from all characters was phenomenal, and I would expect nothing less from C. G. Macington."

"This book was… raw. Beautiful, but raw. No frills, no bows, nothing to make it palatable or pretty, it is honest, and true, and very, very raw... It's a slice of life in all its imperfect glory."

"Jesse's desperation to be free is matched only by Adrian's commitment to set him free... Ugly cried through the entirety of the book. This was one of the hardest reads so far. But also the most important and powerful."

"This book broke my heart in a good way... Thankfully his found family was able to get him released, and he was able to have his HEA."

The story is compelling and evocative in ways I'm still processing myself. Jesse's journey to freedom, Adrian's realization that what started as a game became everything, and the found family they build together is a story I hope reaches everyone who needs it.

LIMITED TIME SALE: Client Privilege - Only $1.99!

While you're waiting for Unbound, now's the perfect time to catch up on Client Privilege if you missed it. This high-stakes courtroom drama featuring an extremely slow-burn age gap romance between Alex and his distinguished lawyer Damian is on sale for just $1.99 on Amazon.com until next Friday.

Even though it's available in Kindle Unlimited, purchasing it directly supports me as an author since I don't get paid for re-reads through KU. If you've been thinking about reading it for the first time or want to revisit Alex and Damian's story, this is a great opportunity.

When Alex flees his abusive billionaire ex Marcus, he never expected to fall for the stoic lawyer fighting to protect him. But as professional boundaries blur and courtroom battles intensify, their forbidden attraction becomes impossible to ignore. With Marcus manipulating the justice system to reclaim what he considers his property, Alex must decide if he can trust another powerful man with his heart.

If you love protective heroes, psychological healing, and romances where reclaiming your power means opening your heart to vulnerability, grab Client Privilege while it's on sale.

What Comes Next?

I'm currently on vacation in Mexico City, taking some much-needed time off, and I haven't given much thought yet to what I'll write next.

Should I continue with book 2 of the Lost Cantos trilogy and return to Lorenzo and Antonio's dark world of 1913 Rome? The Seventh Circle felt like a personal experiment for me, exploring the inferno of the mafia through forbidden passion and brutal choices. The story could certainly end where it is, but I know there's more to tell in that world of violence, betrayal, and the desperate hope for escape.

Or should I work on something different, more like Unbound? I have to admit that writing Unbound felt like coming home. It was raw and immediate in a way that felt deeply personal.

Both paths call to me for different reasons. Lorenzo and Antonio's descent through the circles of their own personal hellscapes, fighting against jealous rivals and bloody turf wars while hiding their forbidden love, has more story to tell. But stories like Jesse and Adrian's, stories that tackle real issues and contemporary struggles, feel urgent and necessary.

What do you think? Would you rather see me return to the dark, literary world of the Benedetto family, or explore more contemporary stories with the emotional depth of Unbound? Hit reply and let me know your thoughts.

See you on release day,

C.G. Macington

Hi Reader! I'm so excited to share the cover for my next MM romance, Unbound, releasing November 14, 2025. Pre-orders are available starting now! This story has been reverberating around my brain since I read about the recent US Supreme Court hearings about lifting Colorado's ban on conversion therapy being defended as "freedom of speech." The inherent cruelty of that argument stuck with me, and I knew I needed to write this book. Unbound follows Jesse Miller, who has spent his entire life...
